Text: Sekular, R. and B lake, R. (1994). Perception (3rd Edition).

Purpose: To introduce the area of study known as sensation. Emphasis will be on VISION and HEARING, but smell, taste and touch will be discussed.

2) Tools of the trade.
3) Anatomy of a sound wave.
4) Anatomy of the ear.
5) How the ear functions.
6) Anatomy of the light wave.
7) Anatomy of the eye.
8) How the eye functions.

Attendance: It is important to attend as many lectures as possible.
