Part-time Position in Political Science

The Department of Political Science seeks applicants to teach POLS 2703, Philosophy of Human Rights in the second semester of the 2005-06 academic year.. This course introduces students to the philosophical principles and historical development of human rights. This course is cross-listed with courses offered in the Departments of Philosophy and in the Human Rights Program.

Candidates with a doctoral degree in Political Science or a related discipline are preferred. Prior experience teaching this course or related courses in human rights is essential. Each applicant is to submit a curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness (teaching portfolio preferred) and arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly to Dr. Tom Bateman, Chair, Political Science Department, St. Thomas University, Fredericton, NB E3B 5G3. Closing date: August 15, 2005, or when position is filled. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their files, including letters of reference, are complete by this date.
