How do I log onto the computers?

Students

First, you have to know your five letter user name printed on your student ID card (gxxxx) and your pin number. If you don’t know your pin number a help desk assistant can give it to you, if you present them with a piece of picture ID and your student number.

If you’re logging into the computers for the first time your password will be your pin number. If you’ve logged into the computers before, but forget your password, ask the lab assistant on duty to override your password.

What do I do if I can’t log onto the computers?

Students

If you’ve logged into the computers before, but you’re now having trouble getting into the system, there could be a number of solutions to this error. You should first click the button on the login screen marked ‘Advanced’ and make sure that the middle box marked ‘context’ is set to student.stu

If that information is correct, but you still can’t log into the computers, you’ll have to see a help desk assistant, and present them with picture ID, so that they can reset your password.

Can I log into my novell and email accounts now if I'm a new student in the fall ?

New students won’t be able to log onto the computers until September. When you get to the campus in September, remember to bring your course registration sheet to the computer lab. Your registration sheet will have your student number, as well as your pin number, printed on it. You will need them in order to log onto the computers for the first time.
