Great Ideas
Executive Seminar on Ethics and Leadership
Fall 2005 and Winter 2006

Are there qualities that make someone a leader?
What constitutes ethical conduct?
How do you get people to do the right thing?
Must good leaders do bad things?
Do ethical considerations lead to good or bad leadership?

These questions are the focus of a new seminar on ethics and leadership as presented in classic works by Plato, Sophocles, Machiavelli and Shakespeare as well as contemporary essays.

This small group seminar is for professionals with busy, complicated lives who are looking for the challenge of reading great books and the pleasure of discussing some of life’s great questions.

This non-credit course will meet one evening each month from September to April. Books and reading questions will be provided in advance.
