St. Thomas University will launch the only journalism degree program in the country where students will learn the art of journalism within the atmosphere of a working newsroom, an new partnership in journalism with the CBC in New Brunswick at the CBC this morning. The delivery of St. Thomas courses, in leased space within the CBC-Fredericton Broadcast Centre, will offer students an unprecedented opportunity to pursue their studies in a professional television, radio and new media news environment where they will be able to interact with working reporters and producers and be exposed to state-of-the-art technology. The launch will take place at CBC on Regent Street, on Monday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m.
Dr. Daniel O’Brien, President of STU, Jennifer Gillivan, Director of Sponsorships for the CBC and Mr. Andy Scott, MP for Fredericton will be in attendence.
