Colloquium 2002 Public Lecture Series


The Department of Gerontology and the Third Age Centre are presenting its Colloquium 2002 Public Lecture Series. Each lecture is held at the Monsignor Boyd Family Centre (King and Regent Streets) on Monday Evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (unless otherwise noted).

January 21 — “Seniors and Block Parents: People Helping People” with Linda Patterson, Block Parent Program of Canada

January 28 — “Person-Centred Approach to Quality Care for Persons with Alzheimer and Related Dementia” with Mary Lou Arseneault, Education Coordinator, Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick

February 4 — “Start Where You Are: Tai Chi, A Gateway to Health and Peace at any Age” with Dr. Gary Kenyon, Gerontology Department, St. Thomas University

February 11 — “The Power of ‘Once Upon a Time’: Narrative in Health Care” with Linda Clarke, Professional Storyteller (This session will be held at Holy Cross House, St. Thomas University)

February 18 — “Aging in a Multicultural Society” with Multicultural Association of Fredericton

February 25 — “Occupational Therapy in an Aging Population” with Shelley Clyburn and Mohan Iyengar

Admission is free for each event. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
