The panel explored the ensuing effects of the assaults. Professors from four departments spoke to the roomful of students, analysing different perspectives and the procedures of comprehension, media coverage, societal repair, and retaliation.

Kelly Lamrock, Director of Student Affairs, moderated the discussion, which featured:
* Philip Lee, Director of Journalism
* Joe Masciulli, Assistant Professor of Political Science
* Alexandra Bain, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies
* Sylvia Hale, Professor and Chair of Sociology.

St. Thomas often hosts community forums and discussions to help its students become more aware of local situations and global implications.
