Health
Each health interview
entails assessments of health, level of independent functioning, and
quality of life, that use formal protocol documents and health history
questionnaires.
Social
Interviews for
the social component employ an extensive questionnaire to gather data
on such items as social networks, work life, living conditions, and
other demographic information.
Psychological
Interviews for
the psychological component employ a combination of standardized instruments,
questionnaires, and tasks to assess such things as verbal understanding,
reasoning, spatial ability, life satisfaction, stressors and coping
strategies, personality and short- and long-term memory.
Biographical
The biographical
component involves an open-ended life-story interview, plus a range
of questions on particular life-themes to complement information gathered
through the social and health components.
