Research Laptop Computers

St. Thomas University has 10 powerful laptop computers that have been purchased with a grant from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation to increase the research capacity at the university. The laptops are intended for data collection and analysis that needs hardware capacity to run sophisticated programmes. They are not intended to be personal laptops for regular computer use.
Six of the computers are loaned for up to six month periods through the Senate Research Committee in the May and November competitions. The remaining four laptops are available for shorter term loan.

To make application for a long or short term initial loan or renewal please complete the application form. Successful applicants collect their authorization and laptop from the Research Office Assistant.

Note: Laptop computers are not renewed automatically. New Applications must be completed in each competition. If a renewal is granted, the laptop must be returned to the Research Office for servicing at a time to be approved with the Research Office Assistant (647).
