Internal General Research Grants

General Research Grants (GRG) are awarded by the Senate Committee on Research through open competition. The Committee's objective in awarding the GRG funds are: 1) to increase the number of faculty involved in research projects needing SEED funding, 2) to increase the number and quality of applications for research to outside funding agencies, and 3) to encourage the dissemination of research results within the professions and the broader public. They are financed through an Institutional Grant from SSHRC and through $4000.00 from the PDA allocation under Article 20.01.

Previous research support has been provided for projects which explored, or led to external funding in:

  • A discipline or field
  • Teaching/Pedagogy
