The majority of all reports in the program are done on computer. It is not expected that students be familiar with computers and the respective programs here at St. Thomas upon arrival. The program does offer the chance to learn how these programs run, and how they can benefit a study when applied appropriately. This is a very portable skill, which proves to be extremely valuable in other courses as well. The program does offer you a chance to learn, a place where questions can be answered and assistance given, so that a student doesn't have to learn on their own throughout their years at university.
"You'll learn to use computers and computer networks as tools for research and communication."
I definitely think that this portion of the Aquinas program [Truth in Society section] holds true. Before entering this class I had no idea what E-mail or Internet were.
