STU Res Web Series: Choosing Your Room and Roommate
Wednesday, May 3 at 8:00 PM Atlantic
In May, STUdents who applied to live in residence prior to the April 15th deadline receive their building placement and room type. This session will cover what to do next - how to pay your deposit and gain access to our residence app, which will allow you to select your room and roommate! We'll have helpful tips and tricks to keep in mind when selecting a roommate, and we will be available to answer any questions you have.

STU Academic Excellence: Virtual Scholarship Reception

Our generous scholarship program has attracted students from around the globe who are passionate about social justice issues and attract to our unique liberal arts approach. During this virtual event, we would like to welcome our incoming scholarship recipients from around the world and provide them with the opportunity to hear from scholarship recipients currently studying at St. Thomas University, as well as from those who recently graduated from St. Thomas.
Feel free to bring any questions you have for our panel of current and past scholarship recipients, as well as any questions you have pertaining to academics for our faculty panelists and any questions you have about the logistics of scholarship distribution and payment for our staff members. Starting the Post-Secondary Search: Virtual Event

Considering various educational and professional options, or looking to prepare for your post-secondary experience in the fall? You are invited to learn more about post-secondary options, outcomes, and more – from the comfort of your own home – at our virtual event.
At this dynamic event, which will include a variety of presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, you will be able to learn more about:
- Post-secondary language and terminology
- Current university students' experiences and insights
- University faculty members and topics of discussion
- University graduates' outcomes and career trajectories
- Considerations to keep in mind throughout the decision-making process
- Application and decision-making timelines
All event attendees will also receive STU swag.
We hope you will join us, whether you are a current high school student in grade 11 - or even grades 9 or 10; someone who has been out of school for quite some time; or the parent or supporter of someone authoring their future plans!

This event is all about helping you pack and prepare for your residence experience. Wondering what you should or shouldn't bring? Not sure what size our residence beds are? Thinking about buying a mini fridge? Wondering if you should bring change to do the laundry in residence? You'll want to tune into this info session prior to getting too far into the planning, purchasing, and packing process, as you will leave the event with a better sense of how to plan for your time living in residence.

This event will enable you to meet other incoming STUdents who will be living in your residence. We simply want to help you get to know the people with whom you will be sharing your home away from home.

St. Thomas University is known across the country for its unique approach to education and emphasis on the liberal arts. While embarking on post-secondary studies is exciting, we oftentimes hear incoming STUdents’ concerns about the workload and rigor associated with university-level coursework. This session is aimed to answer your questions about university-level academics at STU, while also giving you advice and direction to ensure you make the most of your post-secondary studies here from day one. Current STUdents, faculty, and staff members will be on-hand to impart their wisdom and address any concerns you have before the start of the academic year.
