Marilyn has been the Director of the School since July 2014. She has extensive work experience in frontline social work practice, having been employed by the province of New Brunswick for more than 17 years, in various capacities. Until July 2014, Marilyn was the site Program Manager for the Woodstock office of Social Development responsible for child protection, children in the permanent care of the Minister, children with disabilities, foster homes and adoption services. She completed her PhD in social work in 2013 and as a part of her research she explored the fit between structural social work and critical disability theory. She is the co-author of The New Structural Social Work (2019).
