Biography

Dr. Marilyn Dupré was born in Saint John and has lived in Lahr, Germany, Oromocto, Fredericton, Winnipeg and now Woodstock. She attended the Bachelor of Social Work at St. Thomas University and was taught structural social work theory by Dr. Robert Mullaly, a leading Canadian scholar in this social work approach. She continued her professional interest in structural social work theory and practice at Carleton University. Her PhD thesis, completed at the University of Manitoba, was titled Social Work Education and Disability: A Multicase Study of Approaches to Disability in Core and Specialized Curricula at Three Bachelor of Social Work Programs.
