The Yellow Box Gallery proudly invites you to the opening of the group exhibition, The Art of Labour, curated by Kim Vose Jones.

This exhibition presents the work of 7 Maritime artists whose labour-intensive textile art sets a series of visual and conceptual challenges before the viewer—rich in metaphoric and material imbalances.

Featured artists include Janice Wright Cheney, Allison Green, Julie Gray, Tara Francis, Danielle Hogan, Carol Collicutt, and Jackie Bourque.

Each artist takes iconic objects from nature and culture and transforms them through material investigation.
