Andrew Secord



Dr. Secord is currently the Coordinator of the Environment and Society Programme at St. Thomas University. He received his first two degrees at the University of New Brunswick (BA and MA in Economics) and completed his DPhil in the interdisciplinary Urban and Regional Studies programme at the University of Sussex. He is currently researching the social economics of the energy sector in New Brunswick, especially electricity and proposed shale gas exploitation. His teaching is primarily in the areas of introductory economics and political economy, where interdisciplinary connections can be explored in a liberal arts context.
