Marcea Ingersoll is an Associate Professor in the School of Education and a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Narrative. After a career as an international educator, Marcea returned to Canada to teach and began a research journey into international schools and their communities. Her MEd work examined Malaysian parents’ experiences in selecting an international school for their children. In her PhD research, she storied the experiences of over 100 Canadian educators who were thinking of teaching internationally, were teaching at international schools, or had decided to leave international teaching and return to Canada. Marcea has a passion for collaborative scholarship, and works with other researchers at Queen’s, UNB, and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Narrative at St. Thomas.
