Book Launch -- Small Truths: The Art of Cathy Ross

All are invited to the launch of Small Truths: The Art of Cathy Ross, a new book on the paintings of New Brunswick artist Cathy Ross, Saturday, August 22 at 1:30 PM at the Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre in St. Andrews, NB.

The book offers an overview of the artists’ remarkable still life paintings, covering both her more recent work as well as a selection of earlier paintings, and is the result of a cultural research project carried out by Fine Arts students.

The critical essay is by noted arts writer and curator Ray Cronin of Nova Scotia, with a forward by John Leroux from the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.

The text was designed by Kirsten Stackhouse, and features over 60 color reproductions of Cathy Ross’s iconic still life watercolors, an artist’s biography, CV and statement. It is the most the most extensive publication on this remarkable artists work to date.
