Please note: Due to heavy rain in the forecast, the BBQ and Tailgate party have been cancelled.  We will host a Student Success BBQ on Thursday, October 9 instead at 4:00 PM in the lower courtyard. 

Come show your STU spirit and support your St. Thomas Women’s and Men’s soccer teams as they take the field against UNBSJ. The Tailgate Party starts at 4:00 PM in the lower courtyard with a BBQ sponsored by the Student Success team.

Grab a bite, gather the crew and get ready for the evening tailgate style. Lawn games, poster making, and face painting will help everyone get into the zone. A prize for the most enthusiastic fan will be awarded before the games. Don’t miss out on this chance to bring it on as we show UNBSJ what we’re made of. 

Students are encouraged to head to the Grant-Harvey Turf following the tailgate to watch the games. The women’s game starts at 6:00 PM followed by the men's game at 8:15 PM. 

What to bring:  Any Tommies gear, green and gold, and your enthusiasm! 

How to get to the Grant-Harvey

Students who have cars or who want to carpool with others can drive to the Grant-Harvey Turf, which is located at 600 Knowledge Park Drive, Fredericton, NB.

Students can also get to the Grant-Harvey by taking the city bus from campus using their bus pass. 

Take Bus 17S from the bus stop in front of McCain Hall on campus at either 5:22 PM or 5:52 PM. This bus will take you to Regent Mall. You will need to get off the bus at the mall and transfer onto bus 116, which will take you to Grant-Harvey.

To come back to campus after the game, take bus 216. (This bus passes by the Grant-Harvey at 6:30 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM.) You will get off at the Corbett Centre and transfer to bus 16N. This will bring you back to campus and you can get off at the stop across from McCain Hall.
