Stay motivated this semester! Student Services and STUSU are pleased to host “Midweek Motivation,” a weekly on-campus event that will help you stay on top of your school work, destress, and stay active – all in a safe, COVID-friendly space!

 

Every Wednesday afternoon, Sir James Dunn Hall will be transformed into a COVID-friendly study centre on campus. There will be designated study spaces, Pomodoro sessions, self-care activities, and one-on-one sessions with our Student Success Coach. 

 

No parking pass? No problem! Parking will be free on Wednesdays for the rest of the semester.

 

Please note: there will be no event on November 11th as it is a holiday and the university will be closed.

SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER 4TH

12- 4 PM: Take advantage of our socially distanced study spaces in JDH. We are also opening up classrooms in the building to add more study spaces.

 

12- 4 PM: Drop-In Pomodoro Session in JDH G5. Bring your academic to-do list and let our Pomodoro timer guide you. Work on your tasks for 25 minutes and then take a 5-minute break. You will be amazed at how much you can get done! Click HERE to learn more about Pomodoro so you can get the most out of your session.

 

1- 3 PM: Our Student Success Coach will be in the Off-Campus Student Lounge from 1 to 3 PM for 15-minute one-on-one sessions with students about motivation, productivity, schedule building, reading, note taking, and studying.

 

2- 4 PM: Self-Care Activity: Get creative and destress in the lounge outside of JDH 211 as STU Mental Health guides you through a “Paint Your Own Mug” workshop.

 

Campus Mask Policy: Masks are mandatory in all common areas on campus. In hybrid study spaces in JDH, such as the cafeteria or the off-campus student lounge, masks must be worn at all times (except when eating or drinking). Masks can be removed while sitting in classrooms and in the computer lab, providing physical distancing can be maintained.
