Through her work with the Fredericton Sexual Assault Crisis Centre and other groups, Dr. Sue McKenzie-Mohr has devoted much of her professional career to preventing and responding to sexual violence. She recently participated on a working group with the Crisis Centre to develop and pilot a specialized sexual violence counselling curriculum used to train staff in women’s centres, health centres and counselling agencies. She’s also been an active member of the campus project advisory committee, tasked with improving prevention, education and response efforts related to sexual violence across local post-secondary campuses.

McKenzie-Mohr has worked with many community organizations since becoming a faculty member including Women in Transition House, CHIMO HelpLine, the Community Health Clinic and the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research.
