Have you been admitted to St. Thomas? Congratulations!
Here are your next steps:
Please note: the following steps are for students admitted to the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Applied Arts programs. Next steps for students admitted to the School of Education or the School of Social Work will be sent to successful candidates at the time of their admission.
STEP 1 | Accept Your Offer of Admission
Confirm that you will be attending STU by viewing your online decision letter and clicking “Reply to Offer.” Follow the steps to pay the non-refundable $100 (CAD) admission confirmation deposit. This deposit will be applied to your tuition and can be paid by credit card through your online decision letter found at stu.ca/myaccount
STEP 2 | Apply to Live in Residence
If you plan to live in residence, please email email@example.com
Every student who indicates their interest in living in residence before April 15 will be guaranteed a room in residence.
STEP 3 | Apply for Scholarships and Bursaries
Deadline: March 1, 2021
Once you have been accepted, scholarship and bursary application forms will be available under the "Next Steps" tab on your applicant portal.
In addition to the scholarship application form, all applicants who wish to be considered for scholarships must submit a transcript showing their Grade 12 first-semester results (or Grade 12 mid-year results for non-semestered schools) to the Admissions Office. Students completing international examinations must make arrangements for their school to send updated predicted scores to the Admissions Office. Late applications will be accepted, however offers to late applications will depend on available funds.
STEP 4 | Connect With Your Future Classmates
Stay informed and up to date on the latest campus news by joining the “St. Thomas University - Incoming Students 2021” Facebook group.
STEP 5 | Register For Your First-Year Classes
First-year course registration opens in the spring! Beforehand, you will receive a registration email with information on courses, the registration process, and your username and password for our online registration system, WebAdvisor. Once you have fully registered for courses, the Registrar's Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) can provide you with a confirmation of enrollment letter, should you need one.
STEP 6 | Send Us Your Final Transcripts
If you’re attending high school or a post-secondary institution, you must make arrangements for your year-end grades to be submitted to the Admissions Office. Once your final transcript has been received and the Admissions Office confirms that you’ve met our admission requirements, you will receive email notice that your admission is finalized.
STEP 7 | Contact Accessibility Services (if applicable)
If you have a permanent, documented disability and require academic accommodations you are encouraged to contact Student Accessibility Services before July 28 to make appropriate arrangements.
