Residence Life Team

To make sure your time in residence is a memorable experience, there are groups of residence leaders that live in the building. Residence advisors and house committee members work together to facilitate your transition to residence and support you during your time here.

Residence Supervisor

Residence supervisors are full-time university staff in charge of fostering a positive living environment, and promoting academic and personal development for you and your fellow residents. Their responsibilities include policy/procedure administration, crisis intervention, student staff supervision, programming facilitation and direction, and student leader mentoring.

Just like residents, the residence supervisors live in building. You can expect to see them at various programs or activities. Together, they work with the residence life manager to ensure students have the highest quality residence experience. Don't hesitate to approach them with questions or concerns, they are always happy to help you!

Residence Coordinator (RC)

There is one residence coordinator in each residence. The residence coordinator is a senior student who lives in residence and leads the residence advisor team. Their primary goal is to ensure an environment conducive to positive community living and academic success.

Residence Advisor (RAs)

Each house has a team of residence advisors. Each floor/wing has a residence advisor, who will be the “go-to” person for your floor. These individuals are trained student-staff working to promote positive community environment. Every night, there is a residence advisor on duty that will perform regular walks around their residence hall to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. In addition to their regular responsibilities in the residences, residence advisors can connect you with services elsewhere on campus.

House Committees

Every residence elects a house committee during the preceding year to serve in the following academic year. This committee holds various events to encourage positive residence spirit and create a social and welcoming community. This committee generally consists of a president, two vice-presidents, a treasurer, a secretary, a sports & nutrition representative, a social representative, a first-year representative, and a representative for each wings/floors. Elections will take place in the fall for any vacant positions.
