Application Guide

Please review the following checklist to ensure you meet the minimum eligibility requirements.  Complete all aspects of the application as outlined below.

Deadline for application for the 2024-2025 academic year is February 09, 2024.

Eligibility to Participate in an Exchange

• You must have completed 60 credit hours by the time you go on exchange.
• You must have an annual grade point average of at least 3.0 on your last 30 credit hours.
• You must submit a complete application by February 09, 2024.
• Please note that meeting the minimum criteria and deadline date do not guarantee acceptance.

St. Thomas requires prior approval by the Registrar's Office of the courses you will take while on exchange to ensure that you will know ahead of time which credits are eligible for transfer to your St. Thomas University degree.

Application for Exchange

Fill out the International Exchange Application Form.

In the application form you will be asked to upload the following documents:

• Cover Letter- a minimum of 250 words explaining why you think you would be a good candidate for an academic exchange, and what you hope to gain from the experience.
• Financial Plan- provide information on anticipated costs and how you will finance your travel and accommodation, food and other expenses while away from St. Thomas.

Ask a professor who knows you and your work well to write a confidential letter of recommendation.  It must be emailed directly to cmonteith@stu.ca by the professor.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee chaired by the International Student Coordinator. You will be notified whether your application has been accepted or not within two weeks of application deadline.
